How to Lower the Price of Your Next City Break

(PRWEB UK) 13 April 2012

Heading off on a city break is a great way to enjoy a relaxing few days from work and from the stresses of everyday life. City breaks also allow you to explore and experience some of the culture, architecture and history of a particular city, which is something you dont really tend to do on a summer beach holiday.

There are many city break deals to be found online, but it is amazing how many people are still paying far more cash than they need to on flights, hotels, transfers and extras. There is no reason why a city break needs to be expensive, but you will need to be something of a savvy travel deal shopper in order to get a lower price for your getaway.

Here are a few tips you might find useful:

????See if booking flights and hotels separately is cheaper. Package deals are great if you can get them, but it could be cheaper to book your hotel and your flights separately. If there are discount codes offered for either of these, it will definitely be cheaper to book separately.

????Find your own insurance. By searching online, using voucher codes and comparing prices, you can find far cheaper travel insurance than the policies offered by travel agents and holiday companies.

????Be flexible. If you can travel last minute, you can get an absolute bargain of a city break holiday. If you dont mind where you go, you can simply choose according to what discount vouchers are available for a particular place.
